I think I see part of it... Keep your eye on the left-most fellow. When things shift, the very top of his head moves, and is not replaced. At least one of the men loses the bottom of his shoes, too. One cluster of moved fellows always makes four. The other goes from eight to seven. I am just not fast enough to figure out how it happens.
