Yes, I remember waking many times in the night to find either a cold, soggy dead mouse or a warm, scampering one on my pillow. It's not nice to put out your hand in the dark and plonk it down on something that really shouldn't have been there.
If it was a live mouse, that was my sleep gone for the rest of the night. That was in the UK, here we haven't had ANY mice brought in, just the odd gecko.
