Default Work in Hospitals - Operating Theatres.

Hi all,
First off can I say if I have posted this in the wrong forum (DOHH!) please feel free to move it to the correct one. I am enquiring about working in NZ. I am in the best kept N.H.S. secret occupation namely an Operating Department Practitioner......mm never heard of the job? told ya it was the best kept secret!. I trained 17 years ago under the then City and Guilds governing body (it has now changed to a degree course!). Anyway I am qualified to work along side the anaesthetist, aiding in the administration and maintenance of the anaesthetic. I can also assist the surgeon during the surgery by passing instruments (and taking all the flack going lol). Teh third part of my job is wortking in the recovery unit helping the patients recover from their surgery prior to returning to the ward. What I would like to know is does any one on here either already work in the field that I do or know of anyone who might be able to give me any information on job availability etc. Any help will be so gratefully accepted.
Thanks in advance. :006:
