hi Katie,

for me it ( and ive read most are similar ) was very informal and friendly, took about 15 mins.

cant remember exactly but main subjects we spoke about were :

Why New Zealand? have you ver been?
Where will you expect to settle?

What do you expect when you get there - in terms of employment? Do you expect to find a a suitable job? What experience do you have which would make you think that? Have you applied/ are you applying?

Cost of Living - What do you expect? Mainly spoke about house rental costs. Wasnt really detail about food costs etc as i thought it might have been.

Do you know anyone out there? i said no - they asked if i thought it would be much of a problem and how would i expect to meet people/friends?

I expect different people have different circumstances and will get different questions but it for me the main thing it was informal and friendly. this helped alot.

And you also get a chance to ask some questions to NZIS.

hope it goes well for you.
