Have you thought about a caravan park or holiday home where there?s caravans for rent? I don?t know how much it would cost to hire a campervan for that length of time or even part of the time, as it could double as home and transport. This might be handy if you wanted to trundle around the country, but could get a bit claustrophobic after a while. There?s a selection of rental places shown on the Master Website List in the Making the Move category of the forum if you want prices.

Not all hostels are dormitory types. There are quite a few that have self-contained rooms with facilities that are more suitable for married couples, even if you still have to use a communal kitchen. More here and here and here . Have a read through and see if there?s anything that will suit you as most of them offer different things.
