Thanks for the response Pulsarblu, I'm wondering whether my situation is a little different to yours tho. Agencies don't deal in the kind of work I do, with me it's about being able to make a connection with the kids I'm working with, I can say what I like on paper but they need to meet me to know whether I could do what they expect, it's a 'something but don't know what it is' thing. I know that sounds mad but it's true. The work I need would involve me checking out the theatres and the community arts groups, the arts faculties as well as private teaching studios, I could also freelance after a while as I do here. It's about networking and getting people fired up about the passion I have for what I do, I can't do that from 12000 miles away.
It's just about the only way we can do this as we're too old for WHV, can't get a job for a WV and only score 95 points coz Gary has very little work experience that is pertinent to his degree. I on the other hand have years of experience but no formal qualification so looks like the only way to do it is to jump with both feet!
