We struggled at the very beginning with our EOI as Mike's joinery qualification was Scottish and not City & Guilds so we were set to go with the VV route same as Maggiemoo.

I have a mate in Whakatane who says a great deal of folks go out on the VV cos they feel it's better to secure job offers etc face to face. It's a big brave step, especially with kids but it sounds like you and your OH would get jobs no probs.
