It's been a while since I've posted, but I still check out the boards now and then...

I've spent most of the year searching for academic jobs and haven't found a site with a central listing yet. I'm sure you must have already seen it, but the Education in New Zealand site http://www.enzed.com/sch.html has a list of all academic institutions with hyperlinks to their webs. I've found the [i:a219ffda3c]best[/i:a219ffda3c] way to search is to scan each site...

I've sent off half a dozen applications for academeic jobs this year. No luck with any of them, although two or three did say [i:a219ffda3c]"Call us when you're here"[/i:a219ffda3c]. With that in mind, we're heading over in September to give me time to make lots of visits before the new teaching year starts in Feb 2006.

Are you still in the UK? I'd be interested to see how you get on if/when you start applying.
