Stuck for something 'different' to make for dinner?
[quote:c419d932e3="selchie"]I suppose I could eat grubs if I had to, but ... I don't (yet).
I noticed chorizo wasn't on the mammal list. I've eaten it, but stopped after seeing what it looked like uncooked, and found out what it was made of. It's billed as a spicy Mexican sausage, but is made of some sort of pork innard, and is very liquidy uncooked :smiley11:. Wikipedia says it's made of fatty pork, but that's not what I've seen. Not bad tasting, but I think I'll save it for when I'm really hungry.[/quote:c419d932e3]
It is made of fatty pork with spices. The pork innard you are referring to is the pig intestine that the meat is stuffed into (though for the larger chorizo I would assume they would use beef as it is thicker and stronger). Pork intestines are the traditional choice for making sausages, though you can get some artificial ones these days.
