I also believe that "sunshine" is roughly synonymous with "clear and sunny" in this case. From what I saw, there certainly was a lot of it, except for when it was storming.

...This is a good opportunity to remind you to wear your sunblock! Use a high SPF (I'd go with 40 or more), with UVA/UVB protection. Sunblock containing transparent titanium dioxide is a good bet. Even for short exposures, you ought to have on a 15 SPF as routine protection. Hats are another good thing to wear. The sun there will cook you faster and more cruelly than you think, even if you're accustomed to being outside.
