A co-worker is becoming interested in possibly migrating to NZ and he had an unusual question which I hope someone here can answer. What are the penalties for crime & punishment in NZ?

For example, someone convicted of murder gets ____ years in prison

somoene convicetd of stealing your care get ____ years in prison
