Default franchises / flexible working / working from home

Hi Natty

I have just read the book by Paul Goddard charting his progress to NZ. He was the one who was in "A new life Downunder" on the telly a few years ago.

He bought into a Car Care Franchise & it took quite along time for them to get above break even point - but he was the only one to be earning money. He did appear to get great support from the "Master Franchiser" (or what ever their title is) and alot of contacts through business networking. But I synically suspect that because he was on the telly and had a film crew buzzing round them like flies, that he got the extra mile out of people.

Its a fairly short read, but doesnt pull any punches about the struggles they had. I bought it on ebay for a fiver, and once you've read it once then you dont need to read it again - so its probably going back on ebay!
