As you can see we were a sadly depleted bunch and the function was not without it's problems :( . For one, the MacDonald's car park we had arranged to meet up in, was not a MacDonald's car park any more, as another company had taken it over. We don't know if anyone got lost trying to track us down. Also there were several events taking place in Mt. Maunganui at the time and traffic was very congested plus parking spaces were at a premium.
Nevertheless we enjoyed ourselves, the sun shone and the wind blew (with a vengence). I have a few pics of the beach and also some taken along the way from Hamilton to Mt. Maunganui. Alas, not being on my own computer, I'm having difficulty getting other programmes to resize the pics suitable for the forum. Perhaps, tomorrow, when I'm a bit fresher, I can work on it some more. Bed time now.
