On this forum I think you would be mobbed into taking the 'go it alone' approach to immigration.  These consultants can be horribly expensive and you would, no doubt, just end up with the same result, only a lot poorer in your bank balance.  I believe everyone on here is doing or has done the process themselves and lived to tell the tale.  If you need to know something or want confirmation of a point, just ask.  It may take a short while to get an answer due to the varying time zones we are all in and our band of active members is not that large, but, hopefully we should be able to help you out.  Others have made it to NZ despite our interferance
