Basically, if you have a "proper" honours degree you should start on a minimum of just over 38K (39+ after July), and with 14yrs experience this could rise to 56K+ (58+ in July). More if you've a Masters or PhD. Make sure you get all your quals ratified through NZQA and NZTA, or they will pay you base rates (and still might as it can take them a while to get things sorted!).
