I have read on another forum (am I allowed to post a link taffy, & no it is not your pet hate forum :icon_biggrin: ) That it seems standard practice for certain NZ shipping handlers to overcharge the MAF charges to the tune of several hundred dollars. Several forum members have successfully challenged the amount that they have been charged and received refunds. If you have been charged a flat rate by the NZ shipping company (usually in excess of $300) then you are likely to have been over charged in excess of $200 or more, as MAF bills seem to rarely exceed about $140 and usually are much less than that. Your first step would be to get a copy of the original invoice from MAF and compare that with what you were actually charged.
