I thought it might be useful for others to hear this.
It appears there is a discrepancy between the online form and the paper version.
On the online form it says:

"Only complete questions [u:9cfc84b147]F9 to F11[/u:9cfc84b147] if you are claiming points for skilled employment"

but on the paper form it says:
"Only complete Questions [u:9cfc84b147]F9 and F10[/u:9cfc84b147] if you are claiming points for current skilled employment or an offer of skilled employment."
Implying that you should still fill in question F11 if you are ot claiming for skilled employment.

So.....it looks like you can stilll claim for a qualification in an area of absolute shortage EVEN IF you ARE NOT claiming for skilled employment

At least, that's my interpretation of it. Both the points indicator and the EOI forms give me 10 points for it.

So I have submitted my EOI now.
