I am new to this forum thing but my husband, 2 boys and I are starting the process of moving to New Zealand. My sister is a teacher and moved over last month. Her husband and 3 kids are joining her in Jan. They have raved so much about the place and convinced us to join them. I am a nursing sister and from the couple of notes I have read here training colleges seem to go bust commonly. I am having a similar problem with the college that I did my ophthalmology course with. Any other SA nurses out there? My younger son is hearing impaired. Any news of special schooling or the use of teacher aids? We don't have teacher aids here. They either struggle on in mainstream or go to special schools. I am specialised in Ophthalmic nursing but I have been told that there are no specialized eye hospitals or wards in New Zealand. I hope I have not overloaded with this message but as you can see I have a lot of questions. Looking forward to a reply.
