How about adding a search feature, so that we could enter a word, several words etc., and search the whole forum for hits.

I just returned from NZ and Tahiti and the Tahiti forum I used to learn about accomodations, problems, etc allowed a search across all the forums, then produced the list of posts with mentions. Was invaluable in finding out stuff quickly that was already posted.
