We have been looking into NZ for sometime - initially started as an idea for a holiday (for the British Lions Tour) - but after research we decided that we would like to go there permanently.

We are looking June / July next year. As we will be uprooting 2 kids and 1 dog - we thought that we'd be best going for residency from the start - but realise that we'll need at least 1 job offer to achieve this.

We were thinking of applying through an agency towards the end of the year and possibly a quick visit for one of us at Easter for job interviews. Then out in the summer.

Does this timescale sound realistic? Are we allowing enough time - especially for applying for residency?

Any advice would be gratefully received.
