is anyone able to tell me whether there are any rules governing whether you can buy property or not depending on the visa you are on.

I intend entering NZ on a working visa and wondered if that would mean i wouldn't be able to buy a house until I had residency status?

also, does anyone have any info on eligibility for mortgages..?
