It's pretty much the same, only I believe animals from the USA must also have a rabies injection, and will most certainly be subject to quarantine. I'm not sure the exact length of quarantine, but I can tell you it is pretty expensive! I've seen people talking about figures of 2 or 3000 dollars for this.
